How do you create an unforgettable, truly Bavarian travel experience? We are certain: it is the personal stories that make a place a destination of the heart. That’s why we have launched “Meet the locals”: We want to inspire travellers to experience Bavarian culture and customs through the people of the region. This is because, by following in their footsteps and being inspired by their insider tips, you’ll be experiencing Bavaria up close. A Bavaria that is more than the well-known sights: innovative and creative, emotional and surprising, yet rooted in long-established traditions.

For you as a tour operator, this means: more incentives for a demanding target group that prefers to look behind the scenes rather than walk along well-trodden paths.

With “Meet the locals”, we, therefore, want to introduce you to Bavarian personalities who offer a real experience. For example, Florian Blickenberger from Rosenheim, a goldsmith with a soft spot for summit crosses and lederhosen made of gold and silver. Or Elisabeth Stieglmayr, who, as a hop farmer, can explain exactly what Bavaria’s legendary beer is all about and is happy to open the doors to her farm.
